I saw the play twice ( okay, it was a live-stream, but it counts ) and I loved it both times. The Creature was educated by the blind, old man (De Lacey), but even if De Lacey vested him with kindness and morals, this does not do anything for him, because he was still encountered with hatred, rejection and disgust. But especially the first example is not virtuous and can be abused. For the first impression it seems to be an achievement if people could bring dead bodies back to life.
He is very intelligent and learns new things quickly. De Lacey passes on his good-naturedness and how to be virtuous, but nevertheless, he finally becomes the monster others fear him to be.

People are not perfect, but this is human and normal. If you give your best, you must get something back, but the Creature tried in vain and now wants to be rewarded.
