I was not aware about the concept of pitting. All Meyer products should be avoided. These are frying pans! and obviously have not been tested. I found this review very helpful because I, too, purchased two of the Professional Choice frying pans--a large one for preparing supper, the smaller one mainly for preparing breakfast for only 2 of us or 3 if the 3rd person is not all that hungry. It’s easy to clean, safe to use, and likely to stand up to years of use.
