These masks should be adequate protection from dust storms, riot gas, volcanic ash, and a certain amount of radioactive particle fallout (the larger pieces only). The filter are kind of difficult to put in but once they're in it works great! I bought two of these on bogo so i had four to put together the filters first one was hard to put together but by the fourth was a lot easier.
