chopped beat the judge rigged
share.
I was a bit surprised with Scott's episode, though, I expected them to follow the same formula since Alex did and they'd be cooking dessert. Totally biased.
Alex should have lost. Scott is biased and Tiffany won! That dude is a beast of a competitor, and he deserved that win. Close. I think Last week was a joke. This series is, quite frankly, an insult to the chefs who arrive expecting a fair challenge and an opportunity to test their skills against seasoned professionals. 14 comments.
Both wins seemed kinda off...and arrogant. Psych. They did another entree round? The is so definitely rigged!
Not my favorite chopped.
I have been a loyal fan of Chopped for many years.
I’m happy to see something new.
But completely unfair and absolutely biased judging! THE SHOW IS RIGGED FOR THE JUDGES FRAGILE EGOS.
The last 3 episodes the competitor clearly had the better dish but Tiffany, Scott and Naneet managed to win.
It's very much like real kitchen life, and you have to just make it happen.".
I came here bc I am so pissed!
I have watched all the episodes, issue is, does a professional chief ever lose? Judging resulted in the same inconsistencies as the previous episode.
This version of the series is a joke.
Is anyone else enjoying this as much as I am?
“If I had to say something wink you know I do...” yes of course you have to say something.
Brilliant. 8 Things You Didn't Know About Competing On "Chopped" Chef Cole Dickinson explains what it is actually like to compete and win on one of America's …
Anyone else feel like this is rigged and a waste of time.
There is ALWAYS someone better than you......learn to play fair Chipped judges & remove your nose from all the other judges asses!!! Chopped Scott as judge!!!
Bias was too obvious on TV - u should watch yourselves! I absolutely agree.
I respected these judges until this show but I’m done! Scott's episode was close. I figured that might be a loop hole to where a judge would lose and Amanda is usually cheery and might take defeat well.
Like fame, fortune and success have gone to his head or something. THAT would level the playing field. The judging of this series reveals a deeper truth about the judges: They believe themselves to be above the same errors that they would have gladly and willingly eliminated other chefs for in the blink of an eye. I love this show, but this series is extremely unfair to the competitors.
Plus, the contestants are all former champions, so no one gets hurt.
Totally agree.
Beat the Judge: Scott.
The beat the judges episodes are a FARCE!
I don’t think the judges should be judging each other. A key ingredient! The male judge, who’s name is escaping me, said, “IF I MAY CRITICIZE THIS DISH, it’s a little greasy.” If you may????
I love the regular Chopped show, but beat the judge is soooooo rigged!
However, chef Alex’s dish was criticized for its lack of pomelo sorbet, which would have offset the excessive butteriness of the “tart” in the dish. We rely solely on the opinions of the three judges in each episode to eliminate contestants in each round and select a winner in the end. I came here because I was quite pissed after watching this. I mean, it’s a great job. Chopped - Beat The Judge. I hope the judges and the Food network get access to this feedback as it is relevant and calls them out.
"Each judge will have their own opinions on the executions of the contestants' dishes, but they come to a consensus every time and agree on who will be eliminated," she added.
Each judge will have their own opinions on the executions of the contestants' dishes, but they come to a consensus every time … "We have four camera operators right in front of each of the chefs," the Queer Eye alum explained, noting that producers are always looking for memorable reaction shots. We rely solely on the opinions of the three judges in each episode to eliminate contestants in each round and select a winner in the end," Allison Page, former senior vice president of programming and development, said at the time.
Anyone else feel like this is rigged and a waste of time.
Do I think it’s rigged? With 40 seasons under it's belt, it's no wonder that Chopped is one of the most popular shows on Food Network. I think the only thing I'd change would be the cook that wins both rounds gets $5,000 and if they beat the judge… Sometimes they film for 14 hours! Alex should have lost her episode. Available Full Episodes.
The 2 times I watched the contender out cooked the judge both times.
It is hosted by Ted Allen. The series pits four chefs against each other as they compete for a chance to win $10,000.
Had it been the contestant, the judges would not have tasted it because they wouldn’t have felt comfortable eating it due to the potential of blood contamination. Each sunchoke chips!?
Well the final round was rigged too. Alex and Scott both should have lost IMO.
Beat the judge? save hide report. We rely solely on the opinions of the three judges in each episode to eliminate contestants in each round and select a winner in the end. I really like the format. "We have four camera operators right in front of each of the chefs," the Queer Eye alum explained, noting that producers are always looking for memorable reaction shots.

I was like, 'Are there any holes in the basket I can peek through?'". Amanda is so transparent in her biases. Yeah, I watched 2 episodes the first one the judge won even though no one could taste one of of the ingredients in his dish.
You're hearing the producers off camera saying stuff.. you're seeing the medics when someone gets cut.. and camera folks are on camera all the time.

Damn I am unnecessarily heated!
She put so many ingredients in and if anyone else did that, the judges would criticize. Again, maybe it’s just me, but I got the vibe that he was poking fun at himself a bit. The cookies for her ice cream sandwiches burned, changing the structure of her planned dessert: from ice cream sandwich to a “tart,” as she put it. And they didn’t do dessert. Not sure if I can watch Chopped in good conscious any more.
That makes it fishy to me that the judge has won both times, especially Alex after she dropped her ice cream.
Not likely in Chopped’s new “Beat the Judge” series, and not for the reasons you’d think..
If your review contains spoilers, please check the Spoiler box. The judge contestants always win regardless. There is a definite bias having friends judge their friends with 10k on the line.
How is that fair??
Food Network should scrap this.
The judges have no business being the “judges” in this series.
Until that is done, however, the present judging will continue to be worthless, and the outcome of every episode will be just as predictable as the one that came before it.
It makes the show so unreal to see that the judges are the actual colleagues of the contestant judge. By having the judge win, they are not giving out the prize money.
save hide report. Who will win the ten thousand dollar prize, and who will be chopped? Enjoyed the show since locked down except this particular show with Tiffany and a chef contestant. ... Yeah, I watched 2 episodes the first one the judge won even though no one could taste one of of the ingredients in his dish. Chopped - Beat The Judge. Seems rigged in the judges favor. Borat Subsequent Moviefilm: Delivery of Prodigious Bribe to American Regime for Make Benefit Once Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, The Raging Wrath Of The Easter Bunny Demo.
"I felt it was really weird. ", John also spoke out about the controversy, telling the publication that a large chunk of the judges’ remarks were edited out to make it seem like a tighter race. Despite positive testimonials from actual participants, the show still has its skeptics. I'm not sure exactly what happened," she confessed to the New Times Broward-Palm Beach paper.
Disgusting. A subreddit dedicated to all the great shows and chefs on the food network. At this point I don’t think they will let a judge lose as it would be too humiliating for the judge.
